Dear Friends and Clients,

Another year has flown by. Can you believe it? It’s December already, but there is still time for TAX PLANNING.

Call me if you want to go over your tax situation before the end of the year. Meanwhile, here again is my TOP TEN LIST of things you can do to reduce your tax bite:

1. Postpone income until 2012.
2. Pay all of your expenses before December 31.
3. Prepay certain expenses before December 31.
4. Max out your retirement plan before the end of the year.
5. Purchase equipment to take advantage of Section 179 and 100% bonus depreciation.
6. Write off obsolete inventory.
7. Write off un-collectible receivables.
8. Review your estimated tax situation.
9. Consider putting children on payroll.
10. Consider selling some investments to harvest losses that can offset capital gains. You can buy the stocks back after 30 days.
